Lorenzo Sirvent Ibáñez (1678), farmer and nougat maker, taught this trade to his son Bautista Sirvent Mira (1714), and his son, Juan Sirvent Carbonell (1794), was the one who obtained the title of Master Confectioner in 1824, achieving thereby selling nougat in all the cities and towns of Spain.

The saga is continued by the children born from his first marriage, Juan and Francisco Sirvent Candela (1834 and 1835), dedicated to the manufacture and sale of nougat and sweets.

Following this family thread, Francisco married Irene Soler Sarrió and settled in 1866, as a manufacturer of confectionery items, in a building located at 59 Calle de la Vila. They had four children: Francisco, Cándido, José and Manuel.

Francisco moved to San Sebastián establishing a candy sales business; Cándido sold nougat at a stall in the Alicante market, and José went to Buenos Aires, where he tried to set up a nougat business with the name «Sirvent y Cía».
